Svalbard
Carving your line in the heart of the white.
Skiing and sailing to explore an extraordinary territory under a sun that never sets.
In Svalbard, mountains, glaciers, and fjords form a vast territory where nature dictates the rhythm. This archipelago, with its vast protected areas, is home to exceptional wildlife both on land and at sea. Every possible wildlife sighting is conducted from a respectful distance, ensuring the animals are left undisturbed.
During this time of year, the sun stays above the horizon day and night. Its light accompanies our ascents, highlights the landscapes, and extends the wonder right through to moments of rest at anchor.
This cruise is a dual experience combining skiing and sailing. Ski touring excursions are paired with sail passages among the mountains and ice. Depending on conditions and the group’s wishes, a day under sail offers a chance to rest your legs, take part in life on board, and discover the archipelago from the sea.
A guide leads all shore and ski excursions. They select the itineraries based on conditions and the group’s ability level, and also ensure safety regarding polar wildlife with appropriate equipment.
The daily program takes shape around the weather, snow, and ice conditions, in consultation with the captain and the guide. Between explorations, you return to the comfort of LEATSA, the attentiveness of her crew, and the warmth of shared meals.
An invitation to resynchronize with nature, to the rhythm of skiing and the sea.
