The Leatsa sailboat

The grace of the Far North

Born from the sea and shaped by the wind, Leatsa is an exceptional sailing vessel.
Each voyage becomes a rare experience, where discovery meets inner peace.

THE STORY OF LEATSA

The journey of a
rebirth

Born in 1992 at the Bordeaux Naval Shipyard, Leatsa spent many years carrying the dreams of her first travellers around the world.
Left abandoned at a quay for a time, she crossed paths with Georges, an explorer returned from Antarctica who dreamed of the North.
Together, they undertook her transformation: three years to prepare for cold, ice and polar light.

In February 2018, Leatsa set her course for the Arctic “Go to the North.”
From Gibraltar to Scotland, from the fjords to Tromsø, she rediscovered the joy of travel and encounters.

Up there, in the heart of the Far North, a new life began: that of an exceptional sailboat guiding dreamers toward the horizons of ice.

EQUIPMENT

A true 24-metre sailing vessel, sails fully set, this is the assurance of feeling the extraordinary vibrations of nature.
But sometimes, you may prefer to go ashore and discover new coastlines. Two inflatable tenders build a bridge between Leatsa and the land.

One tender carries up to 5 people and is equipped with a powerful 20 hp petrol engine.
The other, quieter and more eco-friendly, is powered by a 3 hp electric motor and carries 3 passengers.
